O-MEGASTEEL is a new, high performance stainless steel alloy offering greater polish and shine, as well as S*perior strength. The extraordinary, lacquered dial has a stunning sense of depth and pays tribute to the mysteries of the deep, with a pattern that accurately represents the bottom of the Challenger Deep – the deepest point in the Mariana Trench, mapped by the Five Deeps team using almost one million sonar points. Framed by a unidirectional rotating bezel, the dial is equipped with luminescent hands and indexes and a time zone function and, when held under UV light, reveals the words 0me*ga was here pointing towards the world record dive of 10,935 metres and showing the Western, Central, and Eastern Pools. A calibre 8912 self-winding movement delivers impeccable performance, even in the darkest depths of the ocean, with a 60-hour power reserve, magnetic field resistance to 15,000 gauss, and a co-axial escapement for long-lasting precision.
